| Media Player 7.0 freezes after upgrade
hi all, i just finished swapping motherboards and did it quick and dirty, leaving the os intact. i'm very surprised at how well everything went. a few little glitches with 4in1 drivers, now the problem is when i call up mp 7 it sits there trying to initialize, then when you go to click out you get program not responding. i've uninstalled it twice with same results. more info i'm running win 2k and it will initialize if i check the box to run in nt5 compatibility mode. but then as soon as i hit the file menu drop down tab "error mp7 will be shut down".. any thoughts on where to go next. ? v. 6.4 works fine.
other info: shuttle ak12a motherboard kt133a chipset
duron 1ghz cpu
win2k
latest and greatest 4 in1's
latest and greatest tnt's
thanks in advance |

maybe too vague of a question?..might i ask for a guess , a rogue .dll perhaps. it has to be a problem in the windows folder..because i have uninstalled as well as deleted the key from registry and it still has same effect upon reinstallation.
edit: for future reference..
a mix of two problems, i was also recieving an atapi error in w2k event viewer, mp7 must have to contact the cdrom in order to start up..had to gear down to pio mode.. and works fine..
the below fix seemed to do something, but only till next boot..however it may be your fix http://forums.digitalmntsnow.com/vbf...p?threadid=397
