IE Open in new window

When I click on a link that either automatically spawns a new IE window, the link doesn't appear in the address bar and the new page never loads. The same goes for when I right click and select "Open in New Window" The new window spawns and just sits there.. If I go back to the original link and "Copy shortcut" and then paste in the new window it opens fine. Same if I click through a link that doesn't open a new window.

I have Internet Exlporer Q818529 in my add/remove programs, what is this update for and if I remove it will it solve my problem?

If you have this patch and you are running I.E. 5.X, uninstall the patch and then upgrade to I.E.6 and then upgrade to the patch. Get your other upgrades as well since you are in there.
