Media Player and Licenses
Well for strange reason my works computer doesnt have a cdrom, I got this Evanensce cd last week that also I dont have too much time on home to hear, so I riped with windows media player 9 on home and sent the songs, but now i cannot listen to the tracks because a license...
To make it worst I cannot install software on my computer I have only user rights with no autorithy to run exe files, so im stuck, is there a way to get media player to work with my files... or I have to make them mp3...

im no expert but, i know from experience that when u rip music with mEDIA player they rip it to either WMA with "protection" so you can not play it on another computer. you must download some kind of licenses from microsoft just so u can play your music, YOU BOUGHT!!! (and copied)
it happend to me, a friend of mine wanted to send me a WMA music file and i could not play it cuz it was "protected" with licenses for use on her computer, i clicked on it and it asked me if i wanted to download licenses from microsoft and i said YES and only then i could play the music.
POINT IS THAT: if u want to avoid such hassle, just rip that Cd again, to mp3, download a program to do that, music match can rip cd's to mp3's free of charge. and if you want to keep the files Small, rip them to 96kbs bitrate or so, or maybe lower if u want. instead of the usual Cd quality 128kbs ....... IMO

When you install MP9 it asks if you want to use this license crap. It may be an option you can change after installation.

that's one of the reasons why i dont use WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER! to avoid such problems, just use some alternative.
once again, musicmatch jukebox (free) can rip cd's to mp3's at any bitrate, and even Convert Wav's to MP3s and so on
IMO just DELETE WINdows MEDIA PLAYER 9!!!!!! use WINAMP! its cool, but not the WINAMP3, its tooo slow, the 2.XX version is better

Yeah I know the main deal its that I had before Creative Jukebox on my old pc with my Sound blaster live, it was a very neat program to rip and play files.... way better than Media player.
But when I changed my home pc i didnt get any new software i have the integrated audio of the Asus A7N8X, that sound very good to be integrated...

The site is still hosed for me. In other news, it's still 78° here. It's supposed to hit 100° tomorrow.
