How do i change drive letters in win2k??? - Tech Support Forums

New to win2k (as you can probably tell from my other posts recently), how can i change the drive letter assignments? (e.g. make my zip drive be z:\ etc......

Right click on my computer... then click manage..

you should be able to figure it out... it's under logical drives...

This is for XP but should be almost identical...

Log on with an admin account...

Go to computer management under admin tools...
Then go to disk management. RIght click on the drive you want to change the drive letter for..

You can change cd-romn's zip etc under the disk list view and you can change hdd letters with the volume list view...

edit I see freaky beat me to it and showed an easier way to get there
