2 Word 2000 Problems

1. How do I change Word2000 document format. When I open a fresh page, I have a phone number already inserted, and not a completely blank page. Somehow it was put in the blank document and saved as a default. Where do I go to change and get rid of this.

2.I am using Word 2000. How do I change the Feed To Option: to default tray (auto sheet feeder)option, when printing envelope address. I have to reset each time I print an envelope. It is currently set to Auto Sheet Feeder.

1. Make a blank document (or however you'd like the template to be) then chose "Save As..."

Then from the "Save as Type" drop down list, choose *.dot (document template) and save it as Normal.dot

OutPatient that did not work. I just want the page to open blank when I select a blank document page.

what you have to do is redo your normal.dot template. that's what word uses to create blank documents.

Try going into Tools/Options and then check out the file location tab. There should be a location for "Startup", thats where you need to put that normal.dot file

EDIT: Oops, forgot about the other question...

Did you look in Tools/Envelopes and Labels? Click on the Options Button and than look at the settings under the "Printing Options" tab.
