MS Exchange 5.5 Help

We have run exchange 5.5 on our NT Network for several years with no problems, however one main user wishs to setup his outlook to receive his pop3 mail from another server, that in itself was no worries ,all setup and working. However the problem arises when he wishes to reply to the emails received, I have set his outlook to send via the POP3 mail but it does not send it is always trying to send via the exchange server thus it fails to send. Can I configure the exchange server to send this mail outside.

Hi All, just solved my own problem, turns out that the proxy server was not configured to send mail out from the setting.

BUT as a follow up question, is there a way to retreive exchange server calendar and email thru POP3 (ie outside dial up)
