I'm sick of it. This is time #12!!! for having to call those jerk wads to get an activation code. I'm sick of them, their control over what I can do with my PC, and their treating me like a crook for having purchased XP. Almost every hardware change I do I have to call them.
FU MS. This is the LAST MS software I will ever buy. I'm sick of this Sheet

I think most of us pass through this times with Microsoft and their softwares. What I would do if I were you (I have done this myself when I feel the same way as you do) to download any distro of Linux and just play around with it and stay away from Windows or Microsoft at least for a while until you are ready to go back to Microsoft. Its just my suggestion and it has helped me a lot when I felt angry and just wanted to scream really loudly. It takes time though and you have to have pacience. The best thing though is that you will just have to spend some time but money you wont, thats the beauty of Linux, its free.

"Yes, is Microsoft there"
"This is Microsoft"
"I was just calling to report to you. I have changed some things in my system and your software won't let me use it until I report to you what I've done and why."
"Yes, that is correct sir. So what have you done to your system and why." |

"Well, what I did was purchase your software. Had I either gone with a non-Microsoft operating system, or at least a pirated XP, I would not have this problem. As for what else I have done, that's none of your F'n business. But I can let you in on what I'm GOING to do. I'm not going to support this kind of BS any more by patronizing such tactics with my hard earned money." |

No, I think he has a legit point JMichna. It's ridicules that he should have to call to "activate" his software every time he changes some hardware. It just blows my mind everytime I hear about what they're planning next.

I mean I dont know what they will plan in the future but I have to say their 'mentality' just freaks me out. But no can do they have most of the market and they practically rule the operating system's world. I can't trust them anymore, I have to say that. I just think we are very lucky to have alternatives such as Linux thats saves us from moments like SiliconJon is currently experiencing.

I STILL believe that .net and the future of M$ depend on selling their programs as services instead of program........... Software as a Service then they can get $$ from you every month, just like the local cable company does. That's the direction I think that M$ wants to take......... it will be interesting to see in 10 years if I'm right.
With their HUGE push for pallidium........ See that they DON'T rush to patch holes....... (why would that be ??????? ) It serves them NOT too IMO. The next "upgrade" contains all those nice "fixes/patches" ......... oh yeah..... and a couple new icons.... and wallpapers. whoo hoo..... let me get my checkbook !!!!!! NOT.
Anyone else see the thing on slashdot where the guy took pics of 3 pallets of G5 macs getting unloaded at M$ M$ had him fired for that ............. guess they didn't want that to get out....... http://www.michaelhanscom.com/eclect...icrosoft_.html |
