Heelp! Boot Loader Problem

Hi,
I am using winxp and redhat. I have two partition in my harddrive. My winxp came with my computer from HP. I don't have winxp cd. I want to fix my boot loader because I don't want to use redhat anymore. Somebody told me to fix the boot loader boot from winxp boot disk , go to recovery console and write FDISK/MBR. I went to the recovery console useing boot floppy disk than i went to the recovery console and it says "Which windows installation would you like to log onto?" I don't know what I have to do now. I can write only one letter. How can I write FDISK/MBR? Please help me. Many thanks.

I think the problem may be going to the console, not sure. I always thought the 'fdisk /mbr' was supposed to be run from a pure DOS A: prompt.

Is it possible to just edit the boot.ini file to remove the redhat option?

Bill
