Arg, I'm so mad!
I was downloading a file that was over 500MB and it had just finished. I was typing a reply to ANOTHER post, and soem dumb, idiotic, stupid, pointless, moronic window comes up saying it it coping the file from the temp folder, into my destination folder. Whell that sure sucks when you are typing and hit the SPACE bar which, for some GOD-FARSAKEN reason selects CANCEL and DELETES THE WHOLE FILE!!!!
I thought maybe by some weird, out-of-this-world chance is I downloaded the exact same file from the same server, it would resume it. HECK NO! Dumb windows now is downloading that file ALL over again.
!&#@% U windows!

IMO, you need a third party download manager-it'll save you MUCHO headaches. Sorry to hear about the blown download...

That really sucks. It happened to me, but the file I was downloading wasn't quite 500MB. Still made me pretty mad, though.... |

I've done many similar things before with windows
Try flashget, I use it all the time when downloading from http, ftp etc.
It's quite a nice download manager, it actually does what it was meant to do. It isn't anywhere near as bad as DAP,

Isnt there a setting for that? something about not going to the default choice when going to another window etc?? So that if you hit enter it wont do anything???
