winin.exe
So I cleaned out a bunch of viruses and trojans from my cousin's PC. It has Windows XP home. There's one little problem left. When attempting to login nothing happens until you Ctrl+Alt+Del and kill the process "winin.exe".
What does this process do? The computer works perfectly after killing it. If it is infected with a virus can I simply delete it and replace it with a copy from my XP Pro?
Thanks

It's a virus. Possibly for spreading spam.

Here's some good info about getting rid of that little virus:

They also have a cleaner linked there.

You whined about Obama without fact-checking, whined that someone called you on it, whined when pics were presented, and are now whining that I called you on your BS reason for not doing due...
Oh, look! A NEW Obama scandal!!!
