XP Pro or is it IE 6.0 ?

I upgraded this machine from Win2K to XP Pro, downloaded all the bazillion patches etc too.
My question is, before the upgrade , if I hovered over a link , down on the lower left of the window, by the task bar it would usually show what the link was. Now its gone, what do I need to change? I like knowing where I may be going.

check under tools/internet options/advanced....there are some options for underlining links (but I dont think thats it,lol)..but look around in there anyway.....not sure though cuz mine does it and I didnt have to do anything to it....but Im on xp pro.

Could it be maybe a direct x thing? Or related to scripts or script blocking?

    (wild guesses, sorry)

On IE's menu bar, select View... then make sure "Status Bar" is checked.

The status bar thing did the trick. Thanks. You're all geniuses and that's why I keep coming back!
