    CCNA Bootcamp

My boss is wanting to send me to a 5 day boot camp where they stuff as much knowledge down your throat till the point you pass out. (Certification too) Im looking at dates between mid January and Feburary.

I did a search but all of them just look like spam sites to me. So im wondering has anyone did the bootcamps and how they liked them? It needs to be the 48 states (the request for Hawaii and Alaska was denied )

    Thanks!

Bootcamps are crap and do nothing but cheapen certifications. They simply teach you how to pass the test with you retaining virtually no knowledge or understanding of what you "learned".

It is a sad fact, but I have seen people who went to these, got a CNNA, and don't know ANYTHING about configuring or setting up networks afterwards This killed MCSE and is slowly killing CCNA as well.

As long as you go into it with the right mindset then go for it Be prepared for a lot of idiots to be there though.

Since you're going to be using Cisco equipment afterwards then go for it. I agree about the certification being cheapened. With most every IT job posting requiring CCNA even though it has nothing to do with networking or even Cisco everyone and their dog is getting it then not bothering to keep their skills up.
