    Where to get my Certs?

Hey all, just curious if anyone has any first hand knowledge of places to get my MCSE and CCNA. I have been in the IT field now for over 8 years, so I know my stuff, but as I don't have a 4 year degree yet, I want to get some certs to bolster my resume.

I live outside of Philadelphia, so I was wondering if anyone has any expeirence around here? Or if not, just what place you did get yours at, so I can see if perhaps they have a place around here?

    Thanks!!!

    Oh Yotta,

I think maybe I wasn't clear, I need a place that teaches the test info .. I don't trust myself to learn everything out of a book

So I was wondering if anyone had used one of those places, a computer training type place, and had anything good to say about them?

you can do some searching on google to find the computer camps that have crash courses for the different certs, I have not heard of any school that teaches just that one or two certs,
testout does sell a software training for the two that you want plus many others.
I can say that this training is very good and is the same as you would get any where else.
I would recommend you getting a couple books and any other training for them plus the testout software to learn what is needed to pass the test, and it will cost you a lot less than going to a school plus you can study at your own pace

New Horizon's Computer Learning Center. They have locations around the globe, and I'm sure they have a location somewhere near you. They will teach you, give you material, find you a job, guarantee passing of exams or they will pay for you to take it again, etc. YOu can look them up, visit, and let them tell you more about it. All instructors are certified and critiqued to keep their job. Again, I will let the school talk to you more about it. It is also a testing site.

Oh man its weird that you metion them Famos, I got a call from someone there like three days ago and an email from someone there about a week ago. I honestly thought it was some crappy recruiter, I seem to get alot of those calls. But now that I know what they are, maybe I will call them back.

Yeah...they are pretty expensive, but if you are really want the classroom setting, guaranteed work after their program, guaranteed exam passing, etc., then the investment may be worth it. government agaencies also contract with New Horizon's to provide training and certification for it's employees as well. At least give them a call back and see if what they have to offer is for you .

Most of the IT training schools around here closed including the one I went to. My old company which sent us at least once a year likes Learningtree and New Horizon. My new one does not really push it.

Since you been in the field and if sounds like you are going to pay for it, why don't you just hit the book and take the test?
