2006 A+ Braindumps or free online tests
Hi Everyone. Wondering if anybody knows of any braindumps or GOOD free online tests for the new A+ Essentials and A+ IT Technician tests? I'm looking to take the tests in a month or so. I've been doing this for a while, just wanted to see if there were places with questions from the tests to see what kind of stuff I'll be in for.
Thanks.

If you need a cheat guide/braindump for the A+ test, you should get out of the business. If you know your stuff and you have studied well, you don't need material that has the answers to the questions. MeasureUp practive exams are pretty good for preparing for the exam and don't have questions DIRECTLY from the real test. The A+ exam is the basic entry level to the field, so if cheating is needed for this, you might not want to think about another career. Not trying to be harsh, but speaking reality and preventing you from getting that job, not being able to perform, getting fired, then the certification gets another strike for credibility. This isn't just for the A+, but all certifications.
The CompTIA exams are pretty easy in my opinion, so all of the material you find will be similar to the test. Microsoft and Cisco exams are a different story.

www.comptia.org
Those two sites will get you going. Good luck on your path to certification.

I've already been in the business for a few good years. The place I work knows that I know my stuff. The HR dept just looked through the job description and realized that they wanted A+ for this job when they hired me for it. They must have let it go because of my MS certs. Anyway, now they want me to go back and get it to make it offical. Dumb, yes. Either way. The reason I wanted a site was to see what the new 2006 test is all about. You can DL the objectives, but I wanted to see some examples of how the questions are worded. No biggie. No need for harshness.

Sorry if I came off harsh
, but when someone asks for answers to a certification exam, I just tell them the truth behind it. To answer your question, the A+ 2006 exams are MUCH easier than the 2003 exam objectives. One, all CompTIA exams are memorization exams, unlike the MS exams that make you apply what you know or experienced to come up with a solution (Depends on what MS exam...MCDST is sort of memorization too). The 2006 A+ exam is easier due tot he questions now. Questions dealing with customer support, dealing with worried users, etc. You will still have the question ont he exam like "A user reports that her wireless mouse doesn't work any more, what's the first step you would do?" The answer is check to see if the batteries are dead. If you google for practice tests for the A+ exam, just about all of them will be similar to the real exam since it is a lot of memorization of stuff including IRQ's, Memory Addresses, types of RAM, processors, differences between Windows 98 and XP, etc.
Again...when I studied for my A+ exam a couple years back, I used Measure Up Practice exam and a book...can't remember the name of it. I also used ExamCram free study guide for a quick overview before taking the exam.
If you've taken MS exams, you shouldn't have any problems stepping into this exam and passing. Good luck!!

4GB is about the minimum you want for good performance. I kicked up to 8 and I noticed the difference. Especially in games.
