    Recommend books on the following please...

     
    Hi, I'd like to acquire knowledge in the following areas...


    Linux

    C++
    (While we are at it, I was also thinking of VB, but if you learn C++, do you really need VB?)

    Photoshop

    3DSMax

    Could you guys recommend me some books? I need the ones that start from newbie level and go up, so far I'm cosidering "Bible" series of books, I've read lots of good things about them.
