Thanks GZ!! I'm planning on taking the ICND1 exam by the end of OCTOBER. Of course I won't schedule the exam because then I would HAVE to keep to that plan. That's how I did my MS certs, but things a little bit more busy than it was back then . |

Well I just knocked out ICND1 to get CCENT and now beginning to read my material for ICND2. The exam was pretty fun with all of the testlets and simulations!! The exam format was MUCH different than the Microsoft format. I'm glad I didn't just skip over the tutorials. |

Wow I missed your post famos! Congratulations!
I will be taking my third exam on Dec 11th at 2 pm. I moved it up a week because im leaving the country on Dec 13th and the last thing I want to do is worry about Cisco stuff. This exam focuses a lot on IPSEC VPNS and at first it was pretty scary as I have never done anything like this before. But thanks to Jeremy from CBTnuggets I feel pretty confident about the technology and how to set it up. So pretty much the next 2.5 weeks will be review. If all goes right and I pass, when I return Dec 17th I will start my last exam. I hope to take it by the first part of March (this is a pretty skinny book and heard its the easiest of the exam.) https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.co...?view=overview
Doesn't look too bad and the QOS/WLAN secuirity will be perfect to learn from my job. I see the end of the tunnel, my brain just hates me right now. lol |

Whoa forgot to update, I failed the ISCW Actually in a way im kind of glad and not. This is a very important book and a lot of new topics (never really used the cisco vpn stuff before). My retake is on January 15th (week away )and reviewing the material i feel a lot more confident. The problem is my brain is like boooo ive already read all this
Surprising there was a few questions where they made you look at the SDM configuration to answer questions. :/
I had a lab where I had to setup up a local AAA and a TACAS+ AAA. Set the console to use the local database and the VTY to use the TACAS, nothing difficult. I also had a design question where there was 5 routers running GRE and you had to answer questions on what needed to be changed on each router to get them connected. I think what really kicked my ass was the DSL/ SDM questions. |
