im looking for a book thats more in depth about the foundations of networking ( not just what a router is, but how it works, switches etc... ) alittle more advanced then network+ ( i looked into the CCNA, but it looks more like commands, ) do you guys recommend any book out there i can get a better understanding on network devices in general and how they are used?

If your planning on learning Networking to do work in a corporate enviroment, your only solid choice is CCNA.

If your looking for something else, Network + is a solid foundation and then start learning on the job.
