get it !!! There are only a few step up classes that build on the foundation and explain the differences. Its much better to take the two your missing and two step ups than a full battery of new material. |

The program i have, which i havnt used in like weeks, did write in answers. I would imagine that since all standardized testing uses multiple choice in schools that its going to be a multiple choice. Its just way to hard to grade written answers because most people cant write for their lives. |

For your MCSE/MCSA exams, the majority of the exam is multiple choice. NO WRITE DOWNS or essays for the exam. There are simulations on some of the exams. For the design exam you will have to take for MCSE, there aren't any simulations on any of them...I took the Design Security one 70-298. I'm sure the AD Design one is the same.
It is worth finishing your MCSA now...many company's won't jump ship to 2008 for a few years or at least until a Service Pack is released for it. You'll also learn a lot going through the 2003 track that can carry over to the 2008. In order to get the MCITP's for 2008, I believe it's two up grade exams, plus the Vista client, which will make it three...I don't recall though. I know there is an upgrade exam, and then separate exams to get Server Administrator or Enterprise Administrator, and of course you have get the Vista Client exam. |

Vista client is not required as you have already completed an OS exam. The upgrade exam is strictly changes from Server 03 to Server 08 and is two tests. I linked the page with details already. |

Here is the link I was referring to... http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mc...n/default.mspx
Yes...there is one exam to get you the MCTS, but that isn't the equivalent to the MCSA/MCSE. The equivalent is the MCITP:Server Administrator and MCITP:Enterprise Administrator. In order to upgrade to Server Administrator, you do not need the Vista exam, but to upgrade to Enterprise Administrator, you will need the Vista exam.
I also recommend that if you haven't taken your client exam yet in either XP or 2000, take it in Vista as it will count towards both the 2003 track and 2008 Enterprise Administrator, which is basically the new MCSE. The upgrade exams are also MUCH tougher than taking the exams individually so study hard . |
