| Now getting into A+, many info needed.
Hi everyone, i've want to do A+ 601 for a longtime now and i really slack off when it comes to studying, i am in a course at the moment and and have a guide my tutor gave me. I know not about A+ technically and i just jumped into my course, will i be able to start studying now and pass the test?
I don't live in your country, if you know about Trinidad then you know where i live where i take my course, the company i'm taking my A+ will help me with a job (if) i pass my A+ exam so thats a +. What i want to know is when i get the job will it worth my $2,000 for the course and $2,000 for the test.
Thanks for your help! |

$2000 for the A+ !! ?????? Is that in US Dollars? I hope not, otherwise you're being ripped off big time on the test. The course I don't know about. But for A+ you can self study pretty easy with books and an extra PC to play around with.
Just so I understand completely, this company is willing give you a job if you get the A+ cert?

Just so you know, Sean is very much on the right track with his statement. Typically the test should cost you around 100-150 depending on where and if you can get a deal.
As sean also mentioned, there are plenty of alternative self study guides available online or through books. You may not be able to get your hands on the books as i doubt they are translated into many languages and are already costly as it is in english. I would highly recommend doing searches online and see if you can find some sample questions to see if you are already on your way to gaining the A+.
For the cost of 4k US, i would assume you have spent atleast a week in a training class designed to teach you from the ground up all of the material covered in the tests. I would not have guessed they are charging that much more for proctoring the test. If you have had some experience with computer prior to taking the class most of this should be review. |

I'm in a next country and it's Trinidad & Tobago i'm not from your country. The cost is not a problem though our currency is $6TT(Trinidad and Tobago dollars) to $1US dollar.
So i should be fine then? Thanks! |

After conversion, the cost isn't that bad for the exams and training.
What kind of guarantee about getting a job, is the company giving you after you pass the exams? |

I am guessing he gets job placement assistance so he would get leads and still have to interview but he would essentially get them as a recommendation based on his in-class performance and his test score. |

| nemowolf is basically right, i would have to go on an interview etc. But as i get and interview to go on it will be alot easier to get the job. But when i land a job i basically get about $7,000 a month, so i'm really trying to get A+ and Network + asap. |
