Thanks |

You can scratch off Westwood. My friend was going there for year and half, he failed alot of classes because teachers wouldn't respond to his emails in a timely manner, if they responded at all. You should go to a real school though, from what I've observed online schools can be shady.

You should start by finding a reputable school that you can find information like professor reviews or blog entries about someone's experience there. Personally, if your looking to do an online degree program check your local JC and see what they offer for online classes. It will be cheaper and you can abuse the resources they offer like a councilor to check into schools and help you prep for a transfer.
Depending on what you plan on studying exactly, your councilor can typically point you to the departmental councilor who specializes in helping only students in their particular major. For instance, there may be a pair of councilors for the CIS department. One for the programming side and one for DBA to help you not only pick classes but also for internships and outside of school events.
I went to school for english and i was chummy with all my english profs. They were not actively searching to help but when i started asking about conferences and outside activities they opened so many doors and introduced me to some people who helped me move along and decide my path. Thats something that i think would be less likely in an online setting when you cant get to know your teacher as well as you could as in person. |

I got my BS from WGU. (wgu.edu) They are fully accredited and are compentency based. Basically, they send you the books to study for certification exams which is how you pass the course. You can potentially get a BS in less than 2 years (4 terms) if you are already proficient at things, have certifications, or transfers from another college. Their courses also transfer to other "standard" universities. They also do not require you spend a certain amount of time on their site for class room like University of Phoenix online does. I studied up on a bunch of them when I was starting, and this is the one that worked out best for me. |

I am attending an IT online college and I'm really happy with my decision. I don't miss anything like personal contact to the teachers. My parents where affraid that I wouldn't perform as good as in a regular college but bullshit - I'm even get better grades! |
