I test out tomorrow for my 2006 IT TECH (602) exam, and have wondered if anyone has taken this exam.
90 questions
700min out of 900 to pass.
I'm taking some practice exams, and I have to keep retaking them to get the desired results. the book I have is the:
COMPTIA A+ Complete Study Guide by SYBEX
I take the practice exams, and some of these questions seem harder then most of the people that say "The test is easy". Plus, I go to compTIAs website, and their practice questions are like baby questions.
Sounds kind of hard, what do you guys think?

Take the test and go from there. If you fail, you'll have a better idea on what you need to study.
Good luck

Took the test and failed. I'm so fucking pissed. I aced the practice exams until I was blue in the face, and I took the final exam today and blew it.
Windows Vista on a A+ exam? Are you serious? LOL, didn't see that one comming. Maybe I'm just a bad test taker, or maybe I bought the wrong study guide, or maybe I just suck. Needless to say, I will only go after the A+ with classroom training.
Self educating myself is just not the way for me, well anyways, I'm done venting.
Thanks for the 1 reply. |

Well I just took my A+ essentials exam which is a little different. You have to score a 675 out of 900. I ended up scoring a 700 (so I just passed). I to am studying for my IT Tech exam now as it is the second one required for me to take. Right now I am looking through my companies online practice exams, the exam cram A+ book and the mike meyers A+ study guide. Anyone have any other success in regards to other books to study? Reko how far below the minimum score did you score? I know when I took essentials it changed the way I look at the practice questions. The questions from the books and online sources are straight up facts. Even the what if questions were presented in that manner. I found the actual cert questions to be a bit more cryptic and less than straight to the point. |
