Oh well, I passed this test today, 2nd attempt at it, but a pass is a pass. I learned how I need to study for these again, it had been awhile for me. On to Remote Access, do I dare ask if anyone has any pointers for this one???? |

And the crowd lay silent....
You're a few steps ahead of me, tarpat. Perhaps you could give me some pointers?

I am thinking about taking this test.
Please correct me if I am wrong, but its 70 questions, and you are given 90 minutes to complete this.
I belive it alos has some simulations, like simulation of configuring a router sort of thing.
I just want to have some sort of perspective on what I should expect when I take this test, but first its A+ for me, maybe Net+ after that, than CCNA, not too sure bout Net+.
Would really apreciate if you could post some of the test details, unless what I stated is correct.
Thank you.

Whoa! The test I am talkling about is part of the CCNP cert track, which you must have a CCNA to even be allowed to sit for the exam. Beyond that, the Remote Access test is geared towards configuring Cisco Routers and Switches for access to remote users such as telecommuters to allow them access into the network, it also covers ISDN, DSL and some other topics as well. If I can offer you any further help please don't hesitate to ask. |

Sorry bout that.
What I wanted to know is how the core CCNA test is structured.
IE> How many questions. Is it all questions or do you have to do something like configuring, typing in commands, etc. |

Well when I took the CCNA exam it was mostly multiple choice with a few fill in the blank, but that was the last version, the new tests have, I understand, have some case study type questions as well as the standard multiple choice and fill ins. So you will have to know command syntax and the full version of commands not just the shortcuts ie: show running-config instead of just sh run. |
