Where are you taking your course? I took mine at New HorizonsThis signature intentionally left blank.

Its all pretty basic stuff. There was some "memory" type stuff...like remembering the usual I/O address and IRQ of com 1,2,3,4 etc....and then of course you might get some memory type questions concerning minimum requirements for installing versions of windows.
Nothing too frightening though.
A lot of it is just knowing the terminology and spotting it, lol.

first you need to remember what you read, and understand it too,

Just a quick question, this seems interesting, The people who took this course or any course, are you guys doing it just to learn or for job certification? I went to the New Horizons web site and looks intersting, would like to take some courses. Any info would be appreciated on why you guys took these courses etc and what for, are they required by your jobs or are you taking them just to get more knowledge about todays systems...
thanks...

I took an A+ course awhile back, trying to get into the field so to speak. I never get job as a tech but it opened the door for me to work from home as a tech. I don't actually hustle up any business but being in my town that's not necessary. I have a few friends that work in the field and they are the basis of my support network. Them and these forums. What I did get out of the course was a thirst for building. It's become a hobby. Also I learned that I really don't want to work full time doing repairs. Working in the corporate work is less aggravating than working with people that you know personally. Anyway that's my experience.

at 62 I dought that I will be very employable, but I will at least have a great knowledge base to do what ever I want.

Thats pretty bad, stopping to pose with a friend or someone while that crap is going on in the background. Peoples lives being destroyed, lives being taken, etc, and they have time to stop and pose...
