November 14th, 2005, 02:55 AM #12What i mean is what do you expect for an answer to something like that? (the last 2 questions) You get those answered, and problems solved!

In the information age, media is king. Grab the reigns and steer the people. As for the Aztecs and Incas, I wonder if Spain had moor to do with that than Christianity. Can you have religion without Cain and Abel, so to speak?

Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum;
Drink and the devil be done for the rest;
Yo ho ho and a bottle of rum.

Does this guy know where Northern Ireland is
At first it was thought that Oetzi died from exposure to cold but wounds on his hands and an arrowhead lodged in his back suggest a more violent death

I seem to remember christian Serbian paramilitary forces commiting genocide against muslims, mass graves of unarmed men and boys.
The journalist has a discriminatory memory.

Ok so christianity has a long history of wrong doing. However I am not sure that Islam needs an equally long time to figure out it was wrong. Perhaps since they were the object of the crusades they might understand that killing innocents because of their religion is the wrong way to go about it.
I see the muslim click here answereing with questions about the 1600's. Find the one thing they feel is wrong with the questions and poof ignore the rest.
Why aren't the christian palestinians blowing up school busses? Do christian palestinians live the life of aristocrats or is their lot in life pretty sucky as well? If the answer is that palestinians all have a raw deal then why do the christians appear to be free from suicide belts and bombs in israeli ice cream parlors.
I would love to see those questions answered as well. However I fear that the answers would yield nothing but complaints of 1000 year old wrongs (wrongs which were pretty much the norm world wide at the time)
be
Serbian genocide appears (to be a lot less then the claims, Now I do not know if this is simply revisionist history but near as I can tell the original claims of 300,000 ethnic cleansings turned out to be something more akin to 3000.) to be approximately 100 times less than what was claimed. I am not sure if there are even claims any longer that imply the scope and scale was any larger. Being that the victors get to write the history, and the victors not being the Serb christians I would think the claims would (if anything) error on the side of muslim side.Last edited by Epidemic; November 14th, 2005 at 09:20 AM.

November 14th, 2005, 12:25 PM #17That would be like putting a mosque or synagogue in the vatican!No church or synagogue is allowed in Saudi Arabia
Just because someone says they are carrying out this terror attack in the name of Islam. Doesn't mean they are actually doing it. In fact they are not!
It makes me cringe when anyone associates any religion with terrorism because no religion condones violcence....so one would come to the conclusion that these religous extermists are not religous extremist...but just extremists who think they are religous!
Question 1 : Why are you so quiet?
You have to listen to hear. Don't know about the US but in the UK after the July 7th bombing there was wide spread condemnation of the explsions from Islamic Leaders. There was even a famous fatwa issued against the terrorists. If you listened to an asian radio station on the recent festival of Eid, they condemned all terrorism. They came up with the slogan 'Don't Panic...i'm islamic!' they got kids to come on air and shout this at the top of their voice! I even saw someone once with a t-shirt once saying 'Don't panic, I'm Islamic'
misguided youths are the problem. Angry teens are the problem. When are you most passionate about your beleifs? When are you most vulnerable? In your teens! That is when the terrorist get at them. brainwashed kids do these atrocities. Who can you blame? the brainwasher or the brain washee? What about the parents? How about all three....that seems sensible....At first it was thought that Oetzi died from exposure to cold but wounds on his hands and an arrowhead lodged in his back suggest a more violent death

I don't go around getting drunk, and eating pork....but I don't wear traditional dress when I go to a lecture....
Not sure why anyone would want to preach another religion....but a free world I suppose.
Personally, I hate preachers....of any religion..
There is this loony outside my uni every so often preaches about staying virgins and keeping ur sole clean for Jesus when you go to heaven....sometimes I feel like kneecapping him....not cause he is christian....just cause he annoys me...
Students at university are intelligent people and don't need educating about religions.....they can make their own choice....At first it was thought that Oetzi died from exposure to cold but wounds on his hands and an arrowhead lodged in his back suggest a more violent death
