| McCain to Run in '08 Quote:
On a day when he filed papers to set up a 2008 presidential exploratory committee, McCain served notice to rivals for the GOP nomination that he intends to move aggressively to try to put his stamp on a party now in the process of rebuilding after losing the House and Senate in last week's midterm elections.
McCain's moves Thursday were the latest evidence suggesting the 2008 presidential campaign will accelerate to warp speed earlier than any in recent history. Last week, former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani formed a presidential exploratory committee and Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, a Democrat, filed a statement of candidacy.
| Quote: | The former Vietnam prisoner of war said voters punished Republicans last week for having become intoxicated with power and he urged a return to what he called common sense conservative principles espoused by former President Ronald Reagan. | link
He'd get my vote. |

I'm sitting the fence thus far. Judge not others by what they say but what do. |

Very true, but I like what he's saying. You can't really judge his performance in the Senate...if he was a VP or Secretary of something, or a governor, then you can see him as an individual. In the Senate, he's just one out of a hundred other politicans full of hot air - pretty much the only way to rate one is by what he/she says.
If Mr. Giuliani runs - and it looks like he will - it'll make a tough decision for me. If one wins the ticket, I'd like to see the other as his VP candidate. |

Well, at least we will have some real people running in the major parties this year. I hope.

Can take him or leave him anymore, too much of a fence sitter flip flop for me. Also that Arizona bank scandal, can't remember just now what it was called, was never cleared up. He was involved.
Probably as good as any of the bunch though. God just look at the contention already within the Democratic party! Not to say there isn't plenty among the elephants.
All this is ONLY my opinion.

It does seem more of an individual power struggle than unification on a party platform and agenda. |
