| Husband SHOOTS wifes' lover, Wife charged with manslaughter Quote:
A Fort Worth man who killed his wife's lover after finding them together has escaped murder charges from a grand jury.
Instead, the Tarrant County grand jury indicted Darrell Roberson's wife, Tracy Roberson, accusing her of causing the shooting by claiming she was being raped.
The 35-year-old wife is charged with manslaughter in the death of Devin LaSalle.
| Hm, I dont believe the husband should be let off so lightly do you?

Why not? He thought he was defending his wife from being viciously raped. She lied and in fact was cheating on him. |

accusing her of causing the shooting by claiming she was being raped.
| This implies a crime in action, and a person has a right to protect his family from crime - so this is a plus for the husband.
Shooting at fleeting suspect is considered to be excessive use of force - a minus for the husband.
He'll probably get nailed for shooting the fleeing man who was fleeing a crime (in his mind) against his wife.
But he's in Texas - a plus for the man.

He should'nt get in trouble if he was defending her, because of a lie she told.

Being in Texas, I'm surprised they didn't pat him on the back while they reloaded his gun for him and stone her,...or just behead her on the spot.

The guy was leaving? The husband had no business pulling the trigger.
Gun mentality. Who needs to think when I can shoot?

I'd have shot too, I'm not about to take the risk of the guy returning or raping someone else.

Because you own a gun, you are not judge, jury and executioner. I would put you in jail for taking the law into your own hands.
Remember that the guy was leaving. |
