And given the manner in which McCain made the comment, I don't think he was joking but appeasing the inbreds in the crowd, particularly the one that asked the question in a language closely resembling English. He has no guts, and has joined the side that spews hate in propagation of murder, and then spinelessly cowers from his statement in an effort to sway the more feeble while still pleasing those who know he meant it and can tell themselves he is just being "politically correct" in his apology.
McCain is no longer a man of values. He has given into the political system and forfeited his morals in exchange for political power. He used to stand up for what he believed, now he spews what will get him more sway. And it looks to me like he's still struggling with it, because I see distress on that man's face now more than ever.

While your advice to get off our rumpus is good, your advisory of silence otherwise is not. |

While it's meant to be funny, it's probably not in his best interest to do things like that if he wants to be president. But it's not like McCain has a chance anyway, so I guess bad publicity is better than no publicity. |

It seems that to be in the running for the nomination of both political parties, the candidate must first receive approval from the lobby group AIPAC, and the approval only comes when the candidate makes a commitment to attack Iran on Israel's behalf.
It makes me wonder about the patriotism of any candidate, when they must first make promises to an Israeli pressure group, which definitely holds Israels security above the security of the United States. |

It’s just a joke lets all lighten up a bit. Besides its not really an original joke I seem to remember hearing it as kid in response to the hostages at the Tehran embassy. |
