Got any details on those earmarks? I can't search from here at the moment.
I'm starting to notice some dire discrepencies with Ron Paul. On Glenn Beck he mentioned ridding "ALL" taxes, which sounded absurd to me, and this morning I caught a piece where he was talking about sticking with, among others, usage taxes (one of the taxes I thought he explicitly stated needing removed, or at least mentioned them during the same argument of mis-taxation). When I watch him I'm really getting the fealing he's pandering to audiences and/or interviewers. Ron's greatest appeal to me was that he was a man of "principal", but I'm not liking what I'm seeing from him lately - I'm getting concerned. I understood he was a politician to begin with...but I was hoping for at least some variance from the stereotype.

This both worries me and intrigues me. He is indeed successfully "stealing" the money stolen from his citizens, as he is a found believer that the income tax is unconstitutional, and thus a fraud as our law states anything unconstitutional is null and void as an attempted law. Let us not forget that. What intrigues me is at first I, too, was confused, but there's a level of brilliance that amazes me about it. He is managing to both stand upon his oath and provide back to his constituents money that has undoubtedly been stolen from them by writing their share into the measures. The man is a more successful politician than I previously gave him credit for, and of course that worries me. A brilliant politician is a powerful leader, and the stage has been set for power misuse unlike any other point in American history.
Now, I need to submit my reasoning to a few professional analysts [no TIMO volunteers, please] to ensure I'm not rationalizing...
You are rationalizing. Remember the God in the Constitution deal that's just been ignored? This is no different.
Regardless of how great some of his ideas are... taken as a whole all he would do is destabilize the US. What else would he achieve in 4 years other than chaos with the things he is proposing?
The Associated Press reported that a January 6th Fox News presidential forum in New Hampshire, just two days before the first in the nation primary, will exclude Ron Paul. According to AP, Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson will all participate in the forum.
The move if reported accurately is extraordinary. Ron Paul, the Republican Congressman from Texas, on December 16th raised more money in one day than any candidate in U.S. political history. Paul has raised more money in the 4rth quarter than any of his opponents and is best positioned financially to win the GOP nomination.
Despite Paul’s success, corporate media conglomerates continue to maintain that he can’t win the Republican nomination although not one vote has been cast.
The forum is being sponsored by the New Hampshire Republican Party. According to LewRockwell.com many outraged Paul supports are emailing Fergus Cullen, who is the state party chairman

Seriously, if you play WoW and support Ron Paul, please don't participate in this. Instead, do something worthwhile, and get your apathetic ass outside to wave a sign!

Remember when three Republican presidential hopefuls raised their hands to declare their disbelief in biological evolution? Well, we can now add a fourth--Ron Paul.

I like that last line: "I just don't think we're at the point where anybody has absolute proof on either side." Pretty much sums up a lot of things. Though I'm sure he'll be criticized for his belief in a creator, and be called a hypocrite for it.
