ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – According to the New Hampshire State Republican Party and an Associated Press report, Republican presidential candidate and Texas Congressman Ron Paul will be excluded from an upcoming forum of Republican candidates to be broadcast by Fox News on January 6, 2008.
"Given Ron Paul’s support in New Hampshire and his recent historic fundraising success, it is outrageous that Dr. Paul would be excluded," said Ron Paul 2008 campaign chairman Kent Snyder. "Dr. Paul has consistently polled higher in New Hampshire than some of the other candidates who have been invited."
Snyder continued, "Paul supporters should know that we are continuing to make inquiries with Fox News as to why they have apparently excluded Dr. Paul from this event."
I just got off the phone after leaving a lengthy, detailed, and professional message with Fox News that thoroughly expressed my displeasure and frustration.
While campaigning in the Granite State on Saturday, Paul called Fox News, one of the debate's supposed sponsors, "scared of me." They "don't want my message to get out, but it will," according to The Boston Globe's Primary Source blog.
Paul Most Searched GOP Hopeful
Ron Paul registers in the single digits in most polls, but he's the top searched Republican presidential candidate on Google, according to the Web site's trend history.
A large volume of hits for Paul in the last 30 days are coming from Iowa, as voters there prepare to caucus Jan. 3. The same holds true for most of his rivals, with the exception of Mitt Romney and John McCain.
Disproportionally, more of Romney's searches in that span are coming from Utah, the seat of his Mormon faith. More of McCain's hits are disproportionally coming from New Hampshire, where he won the Republican presidential primary in 2000.
People sought more information about the contenders around news events.
Fred Thompson saw a spike in searches in early September, about the time the actor-politician announced his bid for the White House. He's now lower than he was in April. Romney saw an increase in the days surrounding his Dec. 6 speech on his faith.
Mike Huckabee has been surging in the polls and seeing an increase in the number of people searching for his name. While he's a far second behind Paul, he's just ahead of Romney.
McCain and Giuliani aren't searched as frequently, the site's search pattern shows.

Ron Paul claims to be a defender of the US Constitution. Like all other members of Congress, he has sworn to uphold and defend it against all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC.
Why has he not signed on to the various bills for impeachment that have come before the House since 2004? If he is so concerned about the Constitution, why is he not following its mandate to impeach members of the Executive Branch who override the Constitutionally mandated separation of powers? Why will he not vote to impeach those who lie to Congress, issue signing statements that override laws passed by Congress, refuse to allow Congressional oversight, etc?
Ron Paul is capitalizing on the disaffection of Republicans for Bush and Cheney, who are leaders elected by GOP voters to hold the highest offices in the land. Yet Paul remains a loyal Republican, in the sense that he will not join the call to impeach Bush and Cheney for their obvious high crimes and misdemeanors.
Without impeachment, these criminals will go unpunished. Without impeachment, the precedents set by Bush and Cheney, that a "unitary executive" can override the Constitution, will stand, and will be used by future presidents to impose their will on the country.
Until Ron Paul cosponsors H. Res. 799, the call to impeach Cheney for lying us into Iraq and trying to repeat the maneuver with Iran, I'll consider him a hypocrite. He's so proud of his independent voting record, but on the issue of impeachment, the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUE FACING THIS NATION, Ron Paul is silent.
HYPOCRITE!

...Carol is an idiot...As if impeaching Cheney is the single most important issue in this nation. She needs to get her mind out of the gutter, focus on the future. Impeachment would cause more problems than it would solve.
