He screwed the pooch. First off he shouldn't have made a comment on something he has no education in. He's a doctor that never concerned himself with the ToE. This is apparent considering his comment was based on thoughts of Abiogenesis and not about evolution. Clearly pandering to OEC's (Old Earth Creationists) and certainly avoiding being labelled as a naturalist. After all, being labelled as a naturalist would disqualify him as being a true Christian considering the resurrection, walking on water, virgin birth and other incredible events depend on supernatural explanations.
"a debate about fossils" is a pretty narrow view of the debate. It doesn’t even consider how the economy is tied into the support of evolution through biological research.
He was caught off guard and fumbled the question showing a certain lack of critical thinking. It isn’t like information on evolution isn’t widely available.
RP being a doctor, would it to much to ask that he understand what a scientific theory is as compared to the lay usage of the word?
The missing text made very little difference. Edited for file size and not content of what was said IMO.

Evolution is a very, very minor detail, and it should be for one running for this countries presidency. There are far more serious issues plaguing this nation that need to be addressed.
The pandering is the most important aspect. He's been in the limelight for less than a year and he's already giving up his convictions of honesty and transparency. I viewed that as the reason to his mental stuttering - but if he keeps up his recent spotlight behavior he'll become much better at lying, and he will have lost his strongest quality for which so many have supported him.

Neo-con swiftboating is nothing new and it's no secret, at least not to those who have been wide awake, that Fox is an extension of the fanatical wing of the republican party. Just look what they did to McCain in 2000. Again, as someone who is ideologically opposite of the conservatives, I find great pleasure watching them eat their own. I'm sorry it has to be RP that they are burning at the stake but he's a big boy and it's not like he's not privy to his own party's underhanded techniques.

It's weird that video was posted just on January 3. I remember watching it last summer. Thankfully, those attacks didn't get very far since anyone with a functioning brain knew they were without merit.
