And it's not "most people here [that] have such hatred for politicians"; it's the naive ones who don't realize that politics -- and therefore, politicians -- is our system and we are stuck with it until the Constitution is changed...or you and those like you shoot everybody you don't like. |

Nice article, SJ.
Beemer correct me if I'm wrong below:
In the 80's Canada scrapped the "melting pot" idea for a cultural mosaic of multi-culturalism. They scrapped the Constitution, which was much more similar to ours, and replaced it with a "living" Constitution called the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms at the insistence of Pierre Trudeau, then Prime Minister and student of Marxism. The Charter not only ensures the rights of the minorities (as the US does), it enables the minority to over-rule the rights of the majority(I may be wrong here). The Charter does not guarantee property rights either, nor the right to bear arms.
This is what Leftists and Neo-Cons want to do by creating a living constitution as well. They want to over-ride the absolutism of the current US Constitution (which was the reason it was designed that way), and replace with one that allows for relativity (which the Constitution was designed to prevent).
It's blatantly obvious with selective politics, in your face and frustrating that no-one really gives a sh*t. The Oath of office is a joke.

At the beginning concerning abortion he preaches his theology echoing Pythagorean doctrines then he goes on to talk about privacy and rights which shoots down his abortion arguments.
He's too theoligically driven needing to drive a more secular train to win me over with his thoughts.
I saw this vid last year and thought the same about it.

| And you disagree because he's not secular enough in what you believe? We've covered this before, your irrational fear of a supposed established "theocracy" south of you. It'll never happen, guy. It's the LEAST of your worries.
If you've read his books and understood his ideology he has no intention of tackling the State's Rights issue of abortion. His personal opinion is just that, personal. Like Carter, Reagan, Ford, Clinton, Bush Sr. All of whom never attacked Separation of Church and State nor abortion with any effect. As an Ob/Gyn who's delivered over 4k babies he's entitled to a personal opinion. Or not?

It's not that he's not secular enough. I don't care if he believes in the tooth fairy. He can't justify pushing for laws based on sectarian beliefs. He says that Roe v. Wade should be reversed and eliminated based on what? His own sectarian beliefs of course. Watch the video maybe Toad? Time 1:44 to 2:41 He goes beyond personal opinion quite strongly saying what the government should do. If his book says different then the video is junk. You would have to agree.
As for your theocracy argument, the theocrats don't hope to create such a situation over night. They slowly erode away secular authority with their own people. Liberty University is educating lawyers, and law makers to eventually fit into positions able to exert influence towards a Christian world view. This is well known.
Yes we have discussed this before but you seem to have selective memory of what transpired. Your comment didn’t just hung in a void. There was a reply similar to what I just said. |
