Soylent green for fuel
Yes men at Canada's largest oil conference pointed to the fact that if climate change continues to happen because of big oils practices and that many millions(or billions) of people die because of it, we would still be able to have our fuel by using the dead peoples' bodies to produce usable fuel."We've got to get ready. After all, fossil fuel development like that of my company is increasing the chances of catastrophic climate change, which could lead to massive calamities, causing migration and conflicts that would likely disable the pipelines and oil wells. Without oil we could no longer produce or transport food, and most of humanity would starve. That would be a tragedy, but at least all those bodies could be turned into fuel for the rest of us."
"We're not talking about killing anyone," added the "NPC rep." "We're talking about using them after nature has done the hard work. After all, 150,000 people already die from climate-change related effects every year. That's only going to go up - maybe way, way up. Will it all go to waste? That would be cruel."
NOTE: Dont panic! this was a stunt pulled off by "The Yes Men" Who happen to be activists against the dehumanizing methods that corporations and governments use."We need something like whales, but infinitely more abundant," said "NPC rep" "Shepard Wolff" (actually Andy Bichlbaum of the Yes Men), before describing the technology used to render human flesh into a new Exxon oil product called Vivoleum. 3-D animations of the process brought it to life.
BUT, Even though this was a prank, I was wondering: WOULD YOU use Vivoleum(dead people) as a fuel? They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.

Presumably, Diode thinks companies should sell fuel out of the goodness of their heart.

It kills two birds with one stone: the overcrowded cemeteries/burial grounds, and the dwindling supply of fossil fuels. But hell, people make fossils too. I like the idea. Make cemeteries for this exact purpose, give people free burials, reap the benefits. I'd sign my body over for it - what the hell do I care?

Oh, so Zen must be driving a vehicle fueled by something other than gasoline. Because otherwise his statement would constitute hypocritic claptrap.
Pray, Zen, what fuel are you using that allows you to eschew the "evilest earth destroying, money grabbing, sick fuck greedy bastards that are 99% responsible for global warming?

You forgot the trailing quote.
Taking queues from A Modest Proposal wins for all time.

Thank god for people like the Yes Men that bring light to crucial issues like this.
If left to their own doing, oil companies would destroy this world of ours.

Let's start with fat people. The cost more to insure, feed, and transport. It's their chance to give back...

This is really a disgusting thought of melting down people for fuel.Obama: The rich have the Federal Reserve and the poor have Harry Reid... LOL. Life really is unfair!

How is it disgusting? That's what fuel is now...could be dead animals, could be dead people, too, for all we know. As long as the person gives consent to use his/her body as fuel, I don't see the problem.

8 cents per gallon somehow I am not sure i see where them eliminating all their profit would make me very happy. $3.08 to $3.00 whooopie geee thanks for the savings I am gonna buy a new cup of coffee a week at starbucks.
Now on topic.
putting bob sue and mike in my tank would be kinda cool. You could even have designer fuels with lawyers, actors, liberals
"Put a lawyer in your tank" Johnnie Cochran, William Kunstler I would use for burning banned as they would pollute too much

IF you guys dont stop bickering Im gonna post a poll EVERY DAY about other peoples feelings towards you guys!! (if that doesnt stop them, I dont know what will. . . )

The thing is, even though this was just a stunt, someone, somewhere, was/is wondering "why not?" and more importantly "how much money can I make doing this?".
Even though most of the votes in the poll(as of 6/18/07) say it can not happen, it might. As creepy as it sounds, we(well someone might) may well be doing this until a cheaper fuel comes along. They say technology slows down for no one. I know it outruns my wallet. I figure its because my wallet isn't light enough yet.
