    John Kerry brings out the best in people...

    Cops Taser student who questioned John Kerry

    Sparks flew during a townhall meeting that Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., held yesterday at the University of Florida. Journalism student Andrew Meyer interrupted the speech, prompting police to drag him away from the microphone and shoot him with a Taser gun.

    So who are you blaming here, John Kerry or the dumbass who interupted?

    Edit, I nearly threw up from the poor video and had to laugh when someone started yelling "Rodney King".

    He was asking a question; he didn't interrupt anything.

    I blame the whole lot of 'em: the kid for getting so out of control; the cops for tasering him; and John Kerry just standing up there on his golden perch, watching this all happen, and not asking the cops to stop.

    Kerry already has two Purple Hearts.

    here is another video of it

    They asked him to put his hands behind his back and he wouldn't stop fighting. Reading around apparently he wasnt allowed to ask his question at first then started causing problem and thats when most of the videos started.

    He didnt follow the forum rules asking a bunch of questions, the officers asked him to leave and he pulled away. He wouldnt comply with them and its a simple resisting arrest which he continued to do when the officers asked for his hands while trying to cuff him.

    The video I saw gave me the impression he was looking to provoke the police and deserved to get tazed. It was kind of funny how after he was tazed, he was very compliant.

    ou, ou ,ou "Police brutality, Rodney King" Holy shat!

    The guy is a total jack ass. I don't even like Kerry. STFU sit the fu(k down. This isn't your stage!

    Now I have seen cops in training take a better hit than that. Also, in my own neighborhood they had done it to a dude across the street, yet the guy still was not simply want to comply, they had to release the dog on him. Now that is a last resort. STUPID PEOPLE!! Do as your told, go get your finger prints and spend the 24 hours in jail, if that. Did Cindy sheehan act like that? She's even more nuttier

    See, when people see someone who is out of control, caring on and screaming like a little girl they all get bent out of shape and feel bad for the idiot. Hear that woman? "Stop, stop, what are you doing"!?

    Use your head woman!

    The sad part was he started out all nice...

    First you say he didn't interrupt anything. Then you say the kid was "so out of control" You're flip-floper

    Now you're talking cause-and-effect. Chicken or the egg? The kid seemed pretty arrogant and belligerent to begin with, but the po-pos only made it worse.

    The way Nickslick worded his question towards me made me think he was talking about the student interrupting Kerry - not the event. It turned out that if they just left on the microphone and let him ask his long-winded question, there would have been no problem.

    Some people (this kid) you just have to pick your battles. So what if he didn't comply with the questioning rules to the dot? Is it worth the aftermath?

    I think he got what he deserved.
    If the cops tell you to put your hands behind your back, or really any command for that matter(with in reason) they aren't saying it for their health. Do what your told, especially if your in a setting like he was.
    STFU will probably listen to the cops next time though...

    He wasn't following the rules of the forum and they asked him to stop. He didn't and they removed him. I didn't really see a need to taze him though. He was acting like a fool but depite what the Tazer corporation would like you to believe that electrical shock can kill people. Cops now use Tazers in place of real police work because they are "non-lethal" weapons. Also they want to charge him with a felony? Don't get me a wrong I think some type of charge is proper here.. maybe discorderly conduct? But a felony will pretty much ruin his professional life. That type of punishment should be reserved for much harsher crimes, not for being a punk and blowing off some politcal frustration towards a politican. In short the kid is an idiot and so are the cops who arrested him. Now the university and the courts get to figure out who's the bigger idiot.

    It would seem to me if the kid actually asked a freakin' question and then actually waited for a reply, there would have been no problem either. The kid deserved what he got IMO.

    Is it just me but when the dude gets tasered and the chick screams, it sounds like the same scream from the video of that boy at UCLA getting tasered.

    I'm sure if you had electricity forced through your body you would be screaming too. What kind of stupid comment is that?

    So its seems this kid has a history of being a jackass

    An officer, however, said in the police report that Meyer's "demeanor completely changed once the cameras were not in sight" and that he was "laughing" and "lighthearted" on the way to jail

    So your willing to go to jail for obstruction of justice? Maybe even assaulting a police officer?

    ~~~~~~~
    Now two police officers have been suspended because of the dork who wanted fame.
    I have seen another angle of the fiasco and you can see an officer with cuffs in hand ready to be put on while the woman officer is constantly saying, " Hands behind your back" Don't get any more clearer than that. The guy was totally out of control!
    It isn't the tazer that bugs me as much as it takes more than one officer to subdue the fool.
