Our Nations Sovereignty Under Attack

11/21/2007

I have just signed a national petition opposing the U.N. "Law of
the Sea" treaty that if ratified by the Senate would threaten our
nation's sovereignty. Additionally, it places the United States
under an international authority, subjects our nation to direct
taxation by the United Nations and could hamper our military.

A vote to ratify the treaty is expected before the end of the month.

This is a crucial issue that truly needs your immediate attention.

Better yet read the actual treaty and think for yourself, but I am sure no one will do that.

Snopes is toast. I've found them to be unreliable recently.

We're fucked guys. It's Neo Nazi Germany right here right now. We have too many who are apathetic accompanied by too many who are too retarded to think for themselves [or apply critical thought]. If the intelligent people don't loose their apathy and stand the hell up, the U.S. is a failed experiment in freedom.

Aw, this petition is just reactionary horseshit.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_...Law_of_the_Sea

This is just the latest update in a series of laws dating back to the 1700's... ever heard of the term "international waters?" Guess where that's defined, and guess what, the US's boundaries are "restricted" under that definition! OMFGBBQ our sovereignty is at stake here people!

ONOZ!!! Now all those landlocked countries that can only get access to the ocean through US land will get to pass through our country and THERE'S NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!1111one

Big stuff like this won't get passed...sovereignty will be taken slowly so people don't notice, but hopefully will.

Sam is exactly right, nobody is taking over anything, it's an international agreement on water territories and what you can/can't do with them.

Ken, is this some kind of joke to try and see how many people sign it? Kinda like "the dangerous Dihydrogen Monoxide chemical that is polluting our earth"?
