With nomination contests in lily-white Iowa and New Hampshire settled, minority voting power now moves into the spotlight. WTF?
Historical realities suggest that blacks and Hispanics won't play much of a role in determining the Republican Party presidential nominee. But this year's Democratic primary and caucus schedule was designed specifically to give increased influence to minorities, particularly Latinos.
Voters in both groups are energized: Blacks by the early successes of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, Latinos by the intense, sometimes xenophobic debate over immigration. But it's far from clear how those influences will play off each other.
Nevada's caucuses on Jan. 19 will give an early showcase of Hispanic voting. However, observers say the true impact of Latino influence might not be felt until the general election, notably in Western states like Colorado, New Mexico and Nevada — places where George Bush's margin of victory in 2004 was razor-thin.
When South Carolina Democrats hold their primary on Jan. 26 — the state GOP contest is Jan. 19 — the choices of substantial numbers of black voters will be tallied for the first time.
The 200 year + American Democracy Experiment has failed as predicted like the fall of Rome. The needs of the few outweigh the needs of the many. Ask not. Let's be objective. We be f'd. Link[

I'd like the Democrats to spell out where they are on illegal immigration. Hillary has announced that "no woman is illegal". So what in the hell does that mean?
Basically, if the Democrats win this election aliens will be allowed in if they have family ties - I.E. everyone in Mexico is coming in. And yet, I see the illegals competing with the blacks for the lowest paying jobs, and guess what? The blacks are Democrats.
They deserve what the Democrats give them. Or as a wise man said "to all you virgins, thanks for nothing!"
If either Obama or Hillary is elected, we're in a world of hurt.

"Lily-white Iowa". I guess that's not racist since it's about white people. |

Blacks and Latinos are a much bigger force this time, and that helps Obama, so vote Obama! He's the inevitable winner, so don't try to deny it! |

Look what happened in California, Mr. "I'll be back" became Gov. and then won re-election.
The Dem's pulled out all the stops in an attempt to stop Arnold and it went down badly for them.
We'll just have to wait and see what happens with the Black and Hispanic vote. Yes, they are a major player . . . but, neither party can count on them.
