HAHAHAHAHA You may not have been on sick-call but I think some must have been. I didn't know living in New England made me a liberal or a conservative. I thought it meant I was a New Englander! Bad enough being called a Yankee but someone wants to further insult me as not being able to think for myself. I don't need a label to vote for who I think is the best or vote against who I think is the least qualified. I don't have anyone issuing me my opinion anymore and in absence of orders I make up my own mind. Is that still allowed?
As far as I am concerned New England sucks! But seeing as how wife's job was here and we like to eat, it was a no-brainer.Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,

Fantastic!!! So much for being 18-0, if you don't win the big prize. By the way I called it first, and even got the score correct.

Naw, its this inevitability thing that the media spouts all the time. The Patriots are just gonna walk all over the Giants because ..........
The Giants did not have to prove anything other than to themselves that they can and they did period. The whole world thought otherwise. Noticed I personally did not spout that the Giants will win, but I hoped that they would.
They played the superbowl the way they played the last few games, by scratching and clawing to get the win. That is okay by me.

excuzzzeme,
I think at times we over compensate for the times we did/could not back when. I was asked why I am so firm on my opinions and do not want to see their side. I tell them I see your side but I like mine. Do not tell me what I should think because I already know and I like it.

ROFL!!!

I tell them that as long as they ain't signing my paycheck, I could care less what they think!
The Giants had nothing to lose. I think that helped them to play more relaxed than what the Patriots did. I also wonder if the Patriots took the Giants to be a serious contender and threat? (Not that it matters). Not going to be watching ESPN for the next several days as I don't care what any sports reporter thinks. The Giants were the better team. What more is there? Congratulations to them.Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you,

Good call. Watching ESPN now, and everybody is saying (except for a couple people) that the Giants kicked butt, and not the Patriots choked, or didn't play as well. The Giants ran all over the Pats, the Giants were/are the better team. All of those records that the Pats/Brady set this year, don't mean crap without the main trophy, and ring.

Yup, on Feb.4th engracio pointed this out.
Now I figure the POLL showed that those who thought the PATRIOTS would winn over the GIANTS were two to one.
Well that tells me they should give two of something to every Giants voter, and maybe four bails of Hey to engracio, who is a Horsey.
BUT__
being as this was posted on January 21st ,
I would say that if if engracio gets four Bails of Hay, I should get eight Economy Size bags of DooG Yummies. As for not standing a chance, well this is a road game for GIANTS but not a home game for PATRIOTS, and usually all kinds of dopey stuff happens in SuperBowls, which makes them hard to call. Besides, E. Manning is emerging as a take-over kind of player, and they didn't rattle easy. If they can beat both DALLAS and GREEN BAY on the road, they have a fighting chance. They won just by being there. The pressure is on the PATRIOTS.
You'll owe me a pack of DooG Yummies if they win. Start saving your pennies.

Eating crow here. Congrats to your G-men, Doog.
Stunningly disappointing for what could have been one of the best teams ever.
Also, probably the best halftime show I've ever seen.

Oh Man, osprey4, you musta missed the Janet Jackson Show !

Now for the serious stuff, as promised if the GIANTS beat the PATRIOTS, the
EIGHT BEST FOOTBALL TEAM LIST would have to be re-written:
1. 1984 San Francisco 49ers
2. 1992 Dallas Cowboys
3. 1985 Chicago Bears
4. 1989 San Francisco 49ers
5. 1975 Pittsburgh Steelers
6. 1972 Miami Dolphins
7. 1962 Green Bay Packers
8. 2007 New York Giants
Gomer should be happy.

I like the 1962 team.

Tyre's catch was perhaps the best I've ever seen.
And Manning, did the spirit of Favre enter you?

No doubt that the 2007 NYG will be on the list for one of the best teams ever. Start a season 0-2, have everybody talk crap about ya, then win the Superbowl against a team that was favored to win it by 13+ points, after ending a regular season 18-0, and breaking all kinds of records. As I said in another thread, should not have counted those chickens before they hatched.
By the way...can somebody please give Tom Brady a tissue???Last edited by outlaw2001it; February 4th, 2008 at 10:45 AM.

wow what a great game .
as i wake up and look at my tore up house and my gosh i drank a whole bottle of jagermiester ....all i can say is what a great game .....
i am glad this is text because i sure can't speak from all the yelling from yesterday ..
our NEW YORK FOOTBALL GIANTS did it ....
the people that say the Pats blew the game or say the Pats laid down are wrong ... the Pats just got beat .... its that simple ...
I give the Pats credit, they had a great year . you could say it was one of , if not the best , regular seasons ever . they just ran into a team that played better on that night .. and that would be the GIANTS...." If you kill a man you're a murderer ..... Kill many and you're a conquerer ....... Kill them all ... your a GOD...."
