Obama's Pessimistic Message

Maybe we should have a vote on whether or not we want to be a European style welfare state. Some clarity from Obama would make that choice possible instead of accidental.

You know... just to prove the American people how good we have had it the last decade, we SHOULD let Hillary or Malcom X run it for four years... let them tear it down so we can build it back up.... McCain is a royal dipshit as well as the other two... but party affiliation means everything.
The dems wanna prove how much better they are? Let them.... and watch the chips fall.

I don't know who's more of a proud "minority".... Hillary or Obama...
Im so sick of the both of them. They live in the shadows of the real greats.... and they somehow think they can even compare to them.

I've long noticed that when Obama gives a speach, it's not what he said that mattered --it was how he said it.

In fact, I could rarely remember exactly what he said, as I was noticing the voice inflection, and the facial and body movements.

This grew into a fear what what I call--for lack of a better word, charisma.
This is actually a Greek word, and is often used in a religious context -- like something endowed in you by The Lord.

Anyhow, I've always oposed charismatic politicians, as they can get away with more than thier less endowed peers. Compare the deal Bill Clinton got from the media to that Richard Nixon had gotten. One was forced to resign --to avoid Impeachment--the other got over on Impeachment.

Maybe the bad press he drew lately had something to do with his losing two very important Primaries. The problem with "front" is that once it gets pierced, it tends to collapse. Maybe he can dish it out--but can't take it. Hey, I'm no fan of Hillary --but this time around, I have to support her. Its more than just a known evil vs. an unknown evil. It's running a campaign on "charisma".

Dubya had ZERO charisma and he's gotten away with more than Bill and Dick combined, no?

"Pessimistic message"? How about the "no-message message"? The "change-but-I-don't-know-how-to-implement-the-change message"? Or the "change-even-for-the-worse message"?

I can't believe how retarded America is. We bitch and whine about how things go, we get an opportunity to REALLY change the country for the better, electing a true Statesman who actually has a brain and he is getting COMPLETELY ignored. We've moved from who's the best leader for America to who is going to do the least amount of damage after the September convention.

*Smack!*Thank you sir may I have another? Sheeple really arent ready for true change.

As soon as I read
Quote:
When Obama's wife, Michelle, stated that she had never been proud of America until her husband ran for office, she made explicit what seems to be the campaign's implicit contract: Vote for Obama and, at last, America, you can prove you are not a racist country and finally heal centuries-old wounds.
I knew the article was lacking integrity. Why does Victor Davis Hanson need to lie in order to get people to read his articles? A quick googling for "Michelle Obama proud of America" brought up the youtube results and watching the videos it's easy to see her comment is about social reforms such as education and healthcare which she feels has been neglected in the past, and a few other social concerns.

Hanson is practicing "quote mining" and making up the implicit details.

What does the rest of the article read like?
