You are in for a rude awakening my friend. A RUDE awakening.
Not to mention the North America Union and new currency.

If you want the future of a Democrat run country, just look at big cities (which just so happen to be run by Democrats) around the country. High crime rates, less freedom, high taxes, and everyone and anyone with means wants to move out into nice, conservative suburbs.

$60B a year to aid people eating dirt and bathing in sewage is chicken feed compared to the amount of money we've pissed away in Iraq (both directly and indirectly).
So that justifies wasting the money? You one of those "two wrongs make a right" people?

I don't have any illusion that we're not in for some tough times, but we absolutely need to start changing course. We CANNOT afford another term of Bush's "policies."

We can all agree on that.
It SHOULD HAVE been done and over with the FIRST time we were over there... Desert Storm.
Now we spent buttloads of money, have more people hate us, and got nothign for our trouble execpt a torched economy.

It's not a justification, it's to provide a sense of perspective.

If being fortunate enough to have been born in the wealthiest country in the world (the minority) means that I am required to make a contribution to those in the world eating dirt and bathing in sewage (the majority), I don't have a problem with that. I don't consider it "waste".

More taxes, bigger govt, and less freedom is NOT the route we need to take. A vote for hillary or Obama is for ALL of those.

We're helping people in Iraq who were tortured and family members killed by Saddam Hussein. That's not the same thing? Throwing money at a problem - giving it to dictators who don't give it to the people anyway - is better than getting hands dirty?

I have more respect for someone who does a job himself rather than hiring someone else to do it for him.

Restoring taxes to where they were pre-Bush is hardly a radical idea. Don't you think we should pay our debts? Bigger govt? Who has shrunk it? Reagan didn't. Bush sure didn't. How many times are you going to drink the Repiblican "conservative" Kool-Aid that some savior is going to come in and shrink the government? Less freedom? Are you friggin' serious? Who wrote the Patriot Act? Who refuses to abide by or enforce the laws he swore to enforce?

You crack me up. I'm glad Obama won ND.

If you think that our destruction and occupation of Iraq has helped the people of Iraq, you are sorely mistaken.
