"Freedom and fear are at war"

Now why would the President say this? Hmmm :sarcastic:

"Our war on terror begins with Al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated". 29:45

"We will not tire, we will not falter and we will not fail."

One month before 9/11 I saw The President in Loveland, Colorado circling over my house in Marine One. Incredible!

Note- Brian Williams is quoted in saying something on the order of , "the last President to go to war and his name was Bush". Actually it was Clinton. Anyone remember Bosnia? How about Operation Desert Fox or Mogadishu?

Thank Rumsfield and Cheney for that one.
Rumsfield was in the mix during Vietnam as well... if memory serves me correctly.

No, thank Congress for that one. How much of Bush's legislation has congress passed in his eight years in office?

Not sure what point you were trying to make, but Congress gave Bush whatever he wanted for 6-7 years.

Military service

Rumsfeld served in the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 as a naval aviator and flight instructor. His initial training was in the North American SNJ Texan basic trainer after which he transitioned to flying the Grumman F9F Panther fighter. In 1957, he transferred to the Naval Reserve and continued his naval service in flying and administrative assignments as a drilling reservist until 1975. He transferred to the Individual Ready Reserve when he became Secretary of Defense in 1975 and retired with the rank of Captain in 1989."[11]

Except for defending itself from an American backed invasion by Saddam Husseins Iraq, in the 1980-1988 Iran/Iraq war.
What other wars has Iran been involved in. Other than helping the US get rid of the Taleban from Afghanistan.
