I can see a place for electric vehicles, but it has to fit into the American lifestyle - and that's the problem liberals have - they preach about the poor, but are willing to make their transportation choices impossible.

Just how does the illegal alien you so love in your "sanctuary cities" afford an electric car? Affluence brings choices, not politicians.

I totally agree with your point on subsidizing green technology. Therefore, why should the American taxpayer have to subsidize anything they have to pay out the ass for or that is a necessity in life and the "free market" finds a way to manipulate into prices that are an undue burden?

Our government should intervene. Doing what the free market can't when Wal-Mart wants to come to town but K-Mart, Sears and Best Buy sit on the town zoning board.

Here is an interesting question. Why do Telco's and Cable Companies get involved and lobby so fiercely against municipalities wanting to create their own telecommunication's networks for people that them same companies cannot or will not serve?

Either side has issues in these arguments but the real travesty here is that the poor or under served go without needed service.

Somehow the job needs to get accomplished. Period.
