I cannot stand Rachel Ray.. She is obnoxiously bubbly and she's a moron! But I think it's stupid that people get bent out of shape about the littlest things.. but on the part of Dunkin' Donuts, it makes sense. They cut their losses, make a new commercial campaign and put it behind them.

What I wonder, is, did DD, or she, or her handlers/agents/producers, etc., know about the scarf's rep thus wore it solely to generate a media frenzy (i.e., attention to Ms. Ray)? If not, then just yank the damn ad if they're so worried about it and reshoot it using a pink scarf or something, geesh

No, it's that ditz Malkin. Any normal person looking at the ads would see that (a) it's a scarf, not a headdress; (b) that it's being worn around the neck, not on the head; (c) that it's paisley, not network.

Here's a picture of Arafat in his trademarked keffiyeh. Looks just like Rachael Ray, doesn't he?

But that didn't stop Dunkin Donuts from caving to the loonies. I can't boycott them because I never ate there anyway, but I would if I could for their witless cowardice.

Yeah, I was gonna say what she's wearing doesn't look like Arab garb to me. Even if it was Arabic, who the hell cares? I guess if you look hard enough, you can find enough people who'll get bent out of whack about anything.

No one should boycott DD, it's just stupid. The Simpsons had an episode about political correctness, I have no idea what season it was in but anyway, it was the one where Kent Brockman was fired for swearing on the news. It was found by Ned Flanders. They showed him sitting in his darkened living room with a massive stack of video tapes of tv shows and movies that he's watching to see how P.C. they are. The point is there probably are a lot of people that do that for real because they have nothing better to do.
