I think your argument that the schools are failing the kids is not taking into consideration what the kids are going through after and before school. Poverty and bad parenting to mention only a couple of influences.

That is another added problem to the equation. Problems at home combined with poor education is a no win situation.

I'm thinking that the parents are sending kids to school unprepared to learn. Latchkey kids being the primary problem.

That is the start of a failing education system. The teachers have their hands tied, control of the classroom has been taken away from them.

That is Rev.Meeks complaint with the Chicago Public School system compared to New Trier school system. Money alone will not fix the problem.

When Ben Franklin proposed the opening of the first congress to be led with prayer, what happened to the proposal Mad1?

At the beginning you were a nation of people primarily of the Christian faith but under no circumstansis was the united states considered or endorced by the government as a Christian Nation. (No matter what McCain or Barton has said on the subject.)
