RealClearPolitics - Articles - What Americans Want in Immigration

    Sounds pretty good to me...

Seems like no one is talking about immigration/border security anymore...the economy and oil have taken center stage. No matter - North America will be unified in due time.

There are two immigration issues that aren't being talked about:

Obama is taking the Democrat party stand of "family re unification" - basically importing people based on gang affiliation - opps! I meant family ties - So we will be putting all of our new immigrant's parents on welfare medical.

I can hear it now: "All people with the last name 'Gomez' - your north bound bus is loading at gate 11!"

Mc Cain is less clear, but the Republican stand is to import according to the skills needed - from fruit pickers to engineers from India.

two essential ingredients for applying the law: an electronic system to verify a job applicant's right to work in the United States and stiffer penalties on employers who hire illegals. But our history with immigration reform is littered with last-minute sabotaging of enforcement mechanisms. Obama's past support for giving driver's licenses to illegal aliens does not build faith.

Instead of a fence or checking employers or anything logical, why not take ALL the money being spent on border control and hire the Mexican drug lords to handle the situation. Hell,

I'd like to see the program run by Mastercharge or Visa, and leave enforcement to INS.

Those boys do have their act together!

Alls I can say is that it is tooo simple

    SNITCH program

    1) offer reward of 2500 dollars per head
    2) fine offending business 5000 dollars per head
    3) 2500 per head to INS/ICE to help meet manpower and costs half way.

    4) once program is in place offer amnesty to all non criminals
    5) once amnesty illegals are papered launch the program.
    6) any illegal entering the country will be unable to gain employment due the fact that even fellow illegals would turn em in just to reap the reward.
