I don't remember qualifying a particular timline other than to say "late term". Your statistics are moot. I simply do not support abortion and it has nothing to do with politics or religion. I do not need to qualify my position, at least not in a free society where we are allowed to have an opinion other than what the state says is to be our opinion.
Isn't that what a debate is? A freedom to express different opinions? Once again, certain members like to make a pissing contest out of an issue rather than to simply agree or disagree.
As far as the position of the Catholic Church goes, what they choose to hold onto as one of their tenets does not make them wrong. It is their belief. Accept it or reject it. Your choice. Every theocracy can be found to have flaws when someone else chooses to disagree with them. Politicians need to shut up and let these religious structures to decide for themselves what is acceptable.
TechImo debate should be retitled "The Spin Forum" or "Raising Hate and Discontent"

I don't agree with abortion I think it's wrong; But I'm not the one who has to live with knowing that you murdered an innocent being.
Really abortion is a non issue; I'm not going to tell someone not to do it, because it has nothing to do with me and IDGAF what someone does, its on their conscience.
I apologize if I'm not empathetic enough and offended anyones sensibilities. |

abortion before the brain of a child is functionally and actually "recording" data, it's not living, it's still a piece of meat (yes i don't have children of my own and AFAIK kicking babies have a working brain so yes they are alive, an embryo which looks only close to a human being without brain activity is in my opinion not living
(the thing i created, a mixture of dirt and water, looks like a dog but well it's not alive and doesn't have a soul (do dogs have a soul anyway?))
the question shouldn't be is abortion good or wrong, it should be what is life?
if you consider a combination of two sets of chromosomes as life (even though it's still growing to be alive) then all the sperm you lose (even if one of those millions actually makes it, the other million -1) are half lived humans and the eggs women lose every month too.
if you deny that those puzzle pieces as life, you have big problem explaining me what life actually is, because that little thing built us or to be precise, they are the plan for our body and the brain which is actually the thing that makes us think and alive (brain dead people still alive?)
feels good to be back ;p Quote:

well excuzzzeme (nice name btw) summed up why I left back then, but after a while life is so dull without discussions about such topics (and trust me discussing topics like abortion and death penalty in switzerland is like talking to a choir)
so i'm back again.... ....again ;p
i guess everyone missed me dearly *cough* *cough*

There is a simple solution to the abortion problem. KEEP IT IN YOUR PANTS!!! If you don't want to have a child don't have sex. If you do have sex and end up pregnant then you have a responsibility for at least the next nine months. That baby deserves every chance it gets. The same chances that you had.

I like Bill Maher's take on this. When you run into "God" and ask him a question, he says "Go ask that guy in Lake Forest -- that Warren guy. He has all the answers!"
We can amend that to include a few of you here. |

Huh. . .
I didn't know Bill Maher was a religious man. Still doesn't make him funny though. |
