Is the MEDIA Now on the Defensive ?

This was Sarah Palin's and the Republican Party's response to the coverage she got on some issues --like her daughter and her Mayorship.

Will the Media respond by tippy toeing around issues and trying to show that it is giving both Candidates equal coverage and equal criticism in its reportage?

Seems like Obama was given a partial free ride when running against Hillary.

Just because the media relied heavily on the Daily Kos for most of it's information (dirt) on Sarah Palin is no reason to get defensive. . .

I'd be defensive caught in a flip-flop when one day you accuse a VP nominee of hiding a pregnancy, bash her for having a pregnant daughter, and with little to no experience other than whipping up a wicked moose stew. Then next day over the course of a 50-minute acceptance speech said nominee is now the media darling du jour.I wouldn't be defensive, I'd be ashamed. Gotta love how it ended up the media being vetted.

i THINK THE mEDIA IS GOING TO BE MORE CAREFUL CHECKING THEIR FACTS ON "SENSITIVE" CANDIDATES LIKE oBAMA AND pALIN.
iN AN INTERVIEW ON cnn --THAT WAS PULLED --cAMPELL bROWN ADDRESSED pALIN AS "bABEY". (Wooops-caps lock). I don't think you'll see as many Mistalks" and "slips" like that.

Also, as someone noted, the Media are "front runners: as well as biased snobs.

So maybe they'll "cleave unto" Obama and Palin, while dissing McCain and Biden.

Time will tell.

Sensitive or not, maybe researching factual evidence that sticks instead of slinging tabloid rumors is a good thing for all parties. Dan Rather had his swift-boat head on a pike and took one for the media team. Who's next?
