Registered versus Likely Voters

We all know that only a percentage of eligible voters actually register, and only a percentage of those actually vote.

For an interesting story on this topic, I'll refer you to How We Choose Polls to Plot, which highlights the difference between registered voters and likely voters, and why the latter are typically used for polling.

I'm just curious as to our DebateIMO crowd. How many are registered versus not, and how many have voted versus not.

I'm registered and I vote.

Regarding polls, most are owned by news networks, and are designed to produce a lead for their candidate. Not until a week or so before the election will they make any attempt to be actually right for credibilities sake - they have to be right at the end!

As it stands now, most are "results for sale" with a few exception - Zogby and Rasmussen, and a couple of others.

I guess I'm not surprised by the fact that no one is voting. Just like real elections.
