On which network will you be watching the debate tonight and why?
What makes one network better than or worst than the other?
I'm really interested in the "why".Last edited by Gomer; September 26th, 2008 at 01:46 PM.

Well, I get decent reception on WETA...

What is WETA? *Edit* NM Theo I clicked the link, DUH!
At least no one selected Fox yet, lol.
I wish Al Jazeera had their reporters there to cover. Hmm I wonder why not? I guess I will have to wait and see BBC's recap after I watch it on CNN tonight.
BTW, excellent thread Gomer! I feel CNN is probably listed as the least biased of the agencies you listed. I want the raw uncut news. Not opinions. CNN offers to many of those also but not nearly as bad as other networks or their lack of reporting certain details of an important story.Last edited by DoubleK; September 26th, 2008 at 01:45 PM.

Why do people that start polls not vote?
I'll be watching NBC because that's the station I always watch. Brian Williams has a really cool sense of humor. Last night they had a technical glitch and couldn’t show an interview.....Latter he said: “Our confidence level that it’ll work now is much higher.” (you might have had to have been there to really enjoy it)Imagine a world where dogs took bad owners to the pound...

I'll be watching it on PBS, if at all. I hate all the hype and the poor reporting done by the for-profit media companies. Too much hyperbole, not enough truth.
Good job, friend-of-friends!

Fox is last...next on the crap list are MSNBC and CNN, but then those are about the only three I really watch on a TV that I don't change. I would probably hate the others equally well were I to give them more of my time.
So which network is the DVR going to be recording, Gomer?

Maybe you could record four feeds - I would do Fox, MSNBC, CNN, and PBS, and then watch them in synch on four TV's and compare them. And then my brain would exploded, but I would tape it and have my kids put it on YouTube.

ABC - CNN would be second. PBS?? Maybe.

Assuming I am home to watch it tonight, I'll most likely watch it on PBS.

Probably PBS so I don't have to listen to the dumb comments. (plus their sound is clearer than the networks)

Esp. PBS with HDTV.... the new digital channels are a world of difference.
If I remember correctly, they can multiplex up to 5 subchannels on each channel. He who seeks vengeance must dig two graves. One for his enemy, and one for himself.-- Lao Tzu

Depends on which channel is programmed into my network when I get home . . . or, if I have to watch it with the wifey, it'll be on FOX. (She's a staunch Republican and loves FOX.

I chose Cspan in the poll, but I probably won't watch as it can't be a real debate as none of the 3rd party candidates are there, even those who will be on the ballot in enough states to win. So basically it is lying by omission. Just another opportunity for the major parties to maintain their monopoly - hardly any chance you'll learn anything you didn't already know.
. If it's not on there and I was going to watch at all, I'd watch it on whatever other station has the least commentary as I don't need anyone to tell me what to think and what the statements mean. Anyone who watches is wasting his time anyway.
. If I was going to watch and had to watch on a commercial channel, I'd watch on Fox as that is the channel most likely to treat the candidates evenly. Of course, NBC is in the tank for Obama - so there's no use watching that no matter how good their talking head's sense of humor. NBC was the only network to air a particularly egregious ad that was run recently - all the others refused to run it.
. OTOH, I might watch to see what is said about the economic mess - created by the congresscritters (mainly Dems, but enough of the Reps had their hands in the mess too). The fact is, if the Dems really wanted the much touted plan passed, and were willing to take most of the blame, it would already be passed. They need Reps to sign on for CYA... I'm glad the Republican representatives in the house seem to have some remnant of sense.

4GB is about the minimum you want for good performance. I kicked up to 8 and I noticed the difference. Especially in games.
