Is Shielding Sarah Palin Sexist?
Is Shielding Sarah Palin Sexist? - The Caucus Blog - NYTimes.com
“I call upon the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment,” Ms. Brown declared.
“This woman is from Alaska, for crying out loud,” she went on. “She is strong. She is tough. She is confident. And you claim she is ready to be one heartbeat away from the presidency. If that is the case, then end this chauvinistic treatment of her now.”
McCain aides had no comment Wednesday as they focused on the financial crisis.
Imagine that
Reckon they got tired of making up lies for McBush since he ran out at the debate. Is Sarah hiding behind McCain's skirts ???? I wonder .....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE9TN...eature=related

Is shielding Hillary Rodham Clinton sexist? How conveniently selective.
Like an Arctic blast, Ms. Brown slammed the campaign for sequestering Sarah Palin from reporters — and blamed their behavior on sexism. “I call upon the McCain campaign to stop treating Sarah Palin like she is a delicate flower who will wilt at any moment,” Ms. Brown declared.
Yeah ok, Mizzzz.....Brown. I remember your defunct magazine. Criminy, you dino-fems are still around? Don't you have cats to feed?

Accept Hillary wasn't shielded.
Palin has bats in her belfry is one reason she has been shielded. Palin has served her purpose which had nothing to do with bringing in the women’s vote. That is subterfuge. Her sole purpose was to bring in the evangelical vote. Period. Palin was a Falwell jr. nomination.
I wonder if the McCain camp gave any thought to the VP debate other than when Biden crushes her they can claim Biden to be sexist. When those who believe in any of the available gods understand why they deny all other gods, they should come to understand why atheists lack a belief in theirs.

From a persons perspective who has been entertained by both parties now how can anyone consciously feel Sarah Palin is ready for this position?
The mere fact that those reasonable enough to see her serious character flaws and then have to debate it with those who try to give this woman any substance is a complete waste of time and makes me seriously reconsider not having to have an IQ test in order to vote.

Here's a Fox "News" clip of McCain handler Nancy Pfotenhauer warning Gwen Ifill to go easy on Sarah Palin on foreign policy issues, because Biden is so much more knowledgeable:
Kid gloves for Sarah; how fetching! In judging a two-person singing contest, never award the prize to the second soprano having heard only the first.

And knowing Alaskan women like I do, (been married to one for over 20 years) . . . it wouldn't surprise me to see Biden get handed his head on a platter.

We'll just have to wait and see if the Democrat's obsession with Palin increases. Like the other day when Rob couldn't wait to eat breakfast and brush his teeth before posting 3 seperate youtube clips about her.
You Democrats do realize that obsessions aren't a good thing . . . right?

Increasingly, conservative commenters are wondering why Palin is still on the ticket. Are they obsessing as well?
This has nothing to do with some myth about Alaskan women Harder. Hard nose men and woman are found all over the world.
A bit off topic.
Speaking of obsessions...McCain may benefit in the swing states because of a movie being distributed named "Obsession".
Muslim Children Gassed at Dayton Mosque After "Obsession" DVD Hits Ohio
A better movie to watch would be "The Koran" which was aired on Vision TV on Thursday night. When those who believe in any of the available gods understand why they deny all other gods, they should come to understand why atheists lack a belief in theirs.

Yes a bit off topic Beemer. I started a thread about Obsession and the Clarion groups motives here:
ATTN: Voters in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin
Obsession: The Threat of Radical Islam
Back to Sarah Palin however. I agree with sharder. In spite of Biden being able to blow this phony out of the water on a host of foreign and domestic policy issues she is a real threat.
I pray Biden takes her seriously and learns from past lessons. The last thing you want to do to a "soccer mom" on the national stage is drag her through the mud and make her appear inept as anyone watching politics already knows. All this will accomplish is a sense that evil hollywood, evil big media and now Obama/Biden are out to destroy a PERSON who does not belong where she is today.
It would seem that the GOP is banking on the powerful and organized mostly white but always votes and goes to church vote which has definitely proven formidable in the past. What they cannot control is the sense of urgency and desperation in the Black community. The real question this election is who has the Latino vote? I do not think it is the Democrats.
