Senate Serves Pork with Bailout Bill

The proposed Senate bailout bill is now available for public scrutiny. Unlike Dodd's original proposal, the Housing Trust Fund would receive no additional funds. However, it sure seems plenty of extraneous funding would be made available:

Quote:
New Tax earmarks in Bailout bill
- Film and Television Productions (Sec. 502)
- Wooden Arrows designed for use by children (Sec. 503)
- 6 page package of earmarks for litigants in the 1989 Exxon Valdez incident, Alaska (Sec. 504)

Tax earmark "extenders" in the bailout bill.
- Virgin Island and Puerto Rican Rum (Section 308)
- American Samoa (Sec. 309)
- Mine Rescue Teams (Sec. 310)
- Mine Safety Equipment (Sec. 311)
- Domestic Production Activities in Puerto Rico (Sec. 312)
- Indian Tribes (Sec. 314, 315)
- Railroads (Sec. 316)
- Auto Racing Tracks (317)
- District of Columbia (Sec. 322)
- Wool Research (Sec. 325)

WTF is wrong with these idiots? Why can't they just pass a bill that does ONLY what it needs to do? Morons, all of them.

Note to all: If this doesn't prove the type of idiots we have running this country to you, nothing will. Take a good hard look at the roll lists for the house and senate in regards to this bill. If your congressperson/senator votes for it, make sure you do not vote for them.
The only thing bigger than these idiots is the idiots who keep them in power. GTFO!

CNBC, and a few other financial people were blasting the Senate over this earlier today. Also in the bill will be the increase of the FDIC to $250,000, and tax cuts for people using alternative energy. This way whoever rejects the bill the other-side can say...you are denying the people of the U.S. increased FDIC coverage, or tax cuts for alternative energy, or any of the above earmarks that Rob listed. This is what the political system has come to. Do we need a change, or what (and I'm not talking about Barack Obama)???
As I asked in another thread what average American has $250,00 in their saving account, or can affford a hybrid car, or put solar panels on their roof? Most people can barely afford to put gas in their car.

One more thing...this bill is 451 pages. I'm not reading it, but I wonder how many Senators did read it???

If they haven't been reading previous unconstitutional bills why would they start now? All they need is a drumbeat of fear, talking points, and bribery, and we're right back to business as usual.

On the plus side, enough funding into "fake news" and we can get plenty of people back into the flock. Though such a program will have to be renamed something like "American Citizen Education for Economic Recovery, or ACE'ER" since fake news and propaganda are "banned" and "felonious" respectively,
