O.J. Simpson guilty
O.J. Simpson was found guilty on 12 counts, including conspiracy to commit a crime, robbery, assault and kidnapping with a deadly weapon. He is facing a minimum sentence of 15 years alone on the kidnapping charge, and faces a minimum of one to two years for each of the other counts. Right now he is looking at spending the rest of his life in prison. This is up to the judge now who will give her sentencing in about a month. In the meantime he is in custody until the sentencing.

First time I've ever read anything on CNN I loved.
Couldn't have happened to a worse piece of crap than this sub-human.
Lets hope the appeals process takes a long time with him rotting in jail all the while.

I guess that's good, I hope they don't overturn it on appeal.

Hi, "fkwhtppl" Its too bad your only interested in insulting us.
I have a few things to say about your diatribe; Simpson was found innocent because 12 people didnt believe there wasnt a shadow of a doubt he was guilty. While I disagree with the results of that trial, Justice was served. Many people believe he "got off", but what they believe or not DOESNT MATTER in the eyes of the law. DO not think that a few people commenting on what they think is justice makes it everyones opinion here.
BTW: OF course everyone here at TIMO are white people.
OF note: I wasnt here 200 years ago, NONE of my ancestors were here before 1880. Im willing to go out on a limb here and claim no one here lived 200 years ago. I am innocent of your accusation, I HAVE DONE NOTHING to people 200 years ago(~50 years ago is a different story - but totally irrelevant to your diatribe.
AS for your America is full of fake religious hypocrites comment, I agree.Last edited by no1_vern; October 4th, 2008 at 11:38 AM.

Nevada is pretty hard core. He'll probably do more years in Nevada for this than he would in California for double murder.

Jeez, this wasn't meant as a racial issue. I'm not even sure I agree with this verdict...as I've heard stories/news reports way prior to the trial (right after he got arrested), and I didn't think he was guilty on all counts; and the guy that had his memorabilia seemed like a piece of crap to begin with. We'll just have to see what happens with appeals process. I don't know what was said in a certain post...but it must've been really F'ed up if the Mods removed it.

The verdict was correct and fair. Let's see if the sentencing is fair. He should get about 2-5 years, all convictions running concurrent. He did not kidnap for ransom. Then he can deal with the IRS after he gets out for income tax evasion.

I didn't think there was a difference between kidnapping for money, or not. According to the CNN report that came out this morning stated that kidnapping in Nevada carries a 15 year sentence. So 15 years for kidnapping, and there is another 7 counts (I believe) for the other charges. 15 Years (kidnapping) + 7 x 2 (years) = 14 years (for the other charges)...grand total 29 years.

Part of the question is whether or not there is a minimum incarceration period for the kidnap. Silmpson may be able to get the kidnap overturned on appeal, as it was probably movement INCIDENTAL to the robbery. But Nevada is very protective of the tourist industry and doesn't want people charging into hotel rooms to rob guests.
Anywhere else would be 2-5, with all charges running concurrent (as the crimes occurred during the commission of a single event. But being Nevada 5-10 with 60% served before parole, would probably mean that Simpson is looking to at least 3 years, maybe 5 with hard parole. Nevada prisons are full and Simpson is going to be too old to commit crime when he gets out.RayH42450@gmail.com

He was too old to do this one, but that didn't stop him.....What, does he think he can get away with murder?
Ohhh once he gets to prison he just may have to pay for Ron and Nicole with some prison justice... Especially once the Aryan boys get done with him."Sometimes life is just what we make it."

I must have missed something or rather someone after my post last night.
Anyways, Nevada kidnapping carries minimum 15 years all by it's lonesome.
Then there are the other charges.
Judge has a reputation of doling it out on the harsh side so I hear.
There are 2 good things to come out of this though:
!. OJ now has a new place to look for the murderer of Nicolle and Ron.
2. and, ( you won't believe this ) I hear someone in Hollywood has come up with the idea of making a movie about an ex-football star who goes to prison - forms a prisoner football team under pressure from the no good warden, and ( are you ready for this ) - gets to play the evil prison guards' football team.
Wait, ................... wasn't that done once or twice before?
